This is one them things that just happens when you are having a cuppa tea at the workbench nonchalantly looking at the offcuts from a job and something clicks. Amazingly without the need for any further cutting we had a bowl, well a bowl without a bottom. If the universe had be completely in tune we would have found the bottom to fit exactly too, but we didn’t and had to cut it out.
Not entirely sure what it is but it works as a bowl and if it were mine I’d put ‘Pot-pourri ’ in it. Do people still use Pot-pourri?
Lovingly made and crafted entirely from recycled timber then stain and waxed. All in our workshop/showroom on a farm just outside the village of Yoxall in Staffordshire
Unless we have exactly the same off cuts again from another job this bowl will be totally unique and original
This bowl roughly measures:
Diameter 26cm (10¼”)
Depth to base 7 cm (2¾”)
Its so satisfying to use up the little bits of wood that would otherwise be chipped or burned, nature took the time to give us the tree and somebody took time to chop it down and turn it into timber. Yep I’m sure this saved wood loves us back
Thank you from the Moulie wood team
